We did our preschool stuff outside today. The girls were excited (I didn't tell them it was so I could get some yard work done!) Their "assignment" was to find four different things in nature that they thought were interesting. Then they drew them on their paper and took turns standing up and telling why they were interesting.
Working hard:
Cate drew grass, an ant (that really looked ant-ish!), and two kinds of flowers:
Halle took her time and really searched for the "interestingest" things:
She really got in to it (surprise, surprise!) and drew extra pictures on the back while Cate helped me haul the yard waste to the road (that's the difference in these two girls!)
I didn't have to do much explaining about what nature is- they both said they learned it from Sesame Street. Halle explained "Nature is stuff that PEOPLE didn't make. So I guess it's just stuff that God made." Yup. She's got it!
