nine months old.

Ty can stand up next to anything now. And hold it with one hand. He's let go a few times and stood alone for a second or two. He 'dances' when he hears any kind of music- here he is bobbing up and down with the piano:And he loves balls. If you tell him to dribble, he'll pound away at it and laugh: He crawled into this crate the other day, and managed to wiggle himself back out!:He likes to "help" with Cate's puzzles. She tolerates him- to a point:
Ty says Mama and DaDaDa appropriately. He knows where to look when we say Halle and Cate. He signs "more" and we're working on "please."
He eats whatever he's given without any kind of fuss.
He babbles constantly- his favorites are NaNaNa and DayDayDay, but lately he's thrown in lot of multi-sound words. And he still likes to yell.
He has 8 teeth.
He's a lot like Cate was- it's kind of hard for strangers to get him to smile.

When Cate was 9 months old, I made this comment:
"I can't wait for the day when she takes toys back from Halle (Okay. Maybe I can- but I think this one will be able to give as well as she gets!)"
And let me tell you- she does. Give as well as she gets. And take toys. And hit. Not a lot, but enough to give me headaches. :)
Most of the time, the girls are really good friends:
