Can you BELIEVE I said

"Yes" to these princess dolls?!
Neither can I.
The girls got some money in a Valentine's Day card from Mema (JD's grandmother.) So I told them they could pick a little toy or coloring book at WalMart when we went for groceries. At first Halle picked out a play phone. I talked her out of it, hoping she would find something small that we didn't already own six of. And she did. A color-changing-bath-toy-princess. Ariel, no less. My least favorite. And to make matters worse, she talked Cate into getting one too!
I did have veto power. I could've told her, "too many dollars." But she was so excited. And if I'm lucky, they'll be relegated to the bathtub before too long...
It was the first time EVER that Cate lasted longer at the TableTime table than Halle (who was ready to go play princesses.)

**EDITED**
Just now JD was getting ready to take the girls back for nap time (he has a snow day)- Halle was playing with the princess dolls and Cate was running around throwing a ball. JD started chanting, "We don't need no doll- play with a ball!" Cate joined in. Halle's face was priceless. She looked up at him like her world had just ended. Then she slowly put her dolls down, grinned really big, and joined in, "We don't need no doll- play with a ball!"

It lasted about 30 seconds. Now she's back to chanting, "I don't need no ball- I play with a doll!" And her doll is now catching balls from daddy. I'm glad she isn't afraid to have her own opinion, but yikes.

**EDITED AGAIN**
Halle is now happily practicing form shooting. Whew. Sometimes I worry...
