Ohhh, Little Rock

We made a last-minute dash of a trip to Little Rock on Friday. JD's Mom called Thursday and invited us to join them for a little mini-vacation. We (of COURSE) accepted the offer and had a great time with them in Little Rock and then in Batesville. We try to make it a point to see both sides of the family at the end of every summer, so this trip worked out perfectly!

We only spent one night in LR, but we sure crammed a lot in! :)
The hotel pool was a favorite spot:Saturday we went to PlayTime Pizza for "lunch" (most of the afternoon). It's a huge arcade-type place with go carts and laser tag and climbing walls- that kind of thing. Perfect for the boys (JD's nephews Jake-9, and Caleb-8). There was a toddler area with free stuff that Halle and Cate loved!A little SkeeBall with Jake:
Halle tends to miss the entire lane if you don't watch her closely. We also visited Heifer International's office complex which has really cool interactive displays about poverty around the world and what they do to relieve it.
(Remember Heifer International? The place we always raised money for at Vacation Bible School??)
Pepa and Halle: Mosquito Net display:Believe it or not, Cate loves holding Halle's hand:Gran-Gran and Cate:The Crew:Cousins- Jake, Halle, Cate, Caleb:Saying goodbye to the boys:
After a week at camp with JD's parents, they had to go back to their dad's. We had such a fun little vacation!
Thank you Gran-Gran and Pepa!
