LuLu and Bakayla-

are the names Halle and Cate have used for one another for the past year.

As in-

Cate: "LuLu, lets go play with the dress ups."

Halle: "No, Bakayla, let's color!"

Cate: "Oh, okay."

(Real conversation Friday morning.)

I think I've mentioned Cate's love of her play name before. If you spend any amount of time around these two you'll hear them refer to each other with these names. We don't know where they came from or why they've stuck around.

The other day I called Cate "Cate" and she huffed at me and said, "Mommy, you can call me Bakayla, or Gretchen or Dorothy. Not Cate." I stared at her. She relented, "Oh, okay. Cate's fine."

So far Ty has escaped being named. (Although, sometimes he's "Big Baby" -Toy Story 3.) Oh well. At least they're not "Belle" anymore or any other princess. :)
