Part of our trip North was a nice long stay at my brother's new house in Des Moines. They have a perfect place for gathering, and their backyard is awesome. 
It was also great to see the Iowa relatives we rarely get to see- my Uncle Ron's entire crew (my dad's oldest brother.) The kids had a blast with all of the little girls and Cal!
On the last night we stayed Tyler and Steph treated us to a baseball game-
It had been a LOT of years since I'd seen the ICubs! Here's my brother, sister-in-law, and SweetieMaddie:
My cousin's son, Sam, was the object of Ty's admiration. He stood beside him and stared for a long long time:
After a couple of innings, the party had to be moved to a place with more eating and dancing space:

Halle loved dancing to the music that played at every opportunity. Her favorite was "Jessie's Girl"- after she heard it the first time she ran over and said, "That song is about Emily! That person must have a Jessie (doll) and wants Emily- 'cause she's Jessie's girl!!" She was so excited. I tried not to laugh when she was looking...
