The Week in Review

And the letter of the week is...Somehow we never quite made it to "Horse" or "Hippo" (neither of which I was too excited to draw!)

Halle has a new "thing" in the bathtub.
Step 1: Get it "dirty":Step 2: Scrub the tub from top to bottom:Step 3: Giggle uncontrollably:

Cate went to bed early tonight- a combination of teething fussiness and preparing for the daylight savings switch. So Halle got to take a nice L O N G bath. While she cleaned the tub for about 30 minutes, I got to sit on the bathroom floor and read (HEAVEN!)
.
After 10 minutes Halle said, "Mommy, is your Mary Poppins book good?"
Here is the cover:I guess it's the hat?:
My response: "It's practically perfect in every way."
She didn't get it, but I smiled inside.

This is the most unflattering picture of me... The ONLY reason I'm putting it on here is because it sums up nighttime at our house. Halle seems to think it's her call in life to take up as much of our bed as possible.

Please note: it is not always her hand in my face (or JD's- she's not picky!) We've woken up to feet, elbows, and the occasional heiny.

Nice, eh?:

For some reason I love this picture- she was playing by herself so sweetly:

It's so unbelievable to me that Cate is already old enough to sign... (sigh.) 9 1/2 months has gone by in a blink.

She's signing (her version) "more" and "please":

These are the "real directions" according to babies-and-sign-language.com. :)

More: "Simply touch your closed finger tips together with both hands."

Please: "Your dominant hand is in a flat handshape. You then place your palm over your heart and move it into a circular motion once or twice."

This video is just everyday stuff. The girls are playing together:

Yes. The squealing gets old.
