Cousins!

We were only missing Parker. But don't worry- Ty was representing his buddy (he was wearing Parker's clothes and sitting in his seat!) They loved swimming with Jake, Caleb & Pepa:

Big Happy Apples

High Five magazine is the greatest. (Thank you, Grandma Parker -from all of us!) Every month they have a recipe for fun kid-friendly food. We finally got around to trying this one from the June issue: We substituted peanut butter in place of the cream cheese: Needless to say- it was a hit!

(Insert Witty Title Here.)

I had to hold onto him to keep him from flipping over:
See?: He's still working on back-to-front.

Togetherness.

Did you notice their haircuts?
Before:

And after:

Halle's long hair looked pretty when it was combed nicely. The problem was it didn't stay that way. And I was so tired of fixing it twice a day (before and after naptime.) When she agreed to get it cut I jumped at the chance- and although (like always) I think it's too short, I know it grows fast and that I'll love it when it gets an inch or so longer. :) Cate got less cut off- hers just looks a little less like a tangly mess.

Today is a good day.

I have sweet tea in my favorite glass.I have (oh-so-delicious) tomatoes on my windowsill.I have a flag flying on my porch.
And the baby has been sleeping soundly in his crib for two and a half hours.
With two happy little girls eating a snack, what more could I ask for??

RumbleRumbleBOOM

A Birthday of Sorts

Can you believe that Ty is THREE MONTHS old today?! I can't.
.
Somehow Halle got confused. She was so upset when I told her that I wasn't baking him a cake or decorating or letting him have any presents. I finally figured out that she thought it was his real birthday and he was turning 1 today! To make her feel better I got out some "sparkles" and let her make him a card:
I did not help her make her cards at all. She wrote her name and Ty's without asking how to spell it:
(She said she wrote her name backwards because she 'ran out of paper'.)Cate made a card too and she 'wrote her name':
(The "C".)Ty liked it! :)

3 months old:

  • Ty smiles, laughs and 'talks' to us.
  • He yells when he sneezes (HILARIOUS!)
  • He can roll over from his tummy to his back (when he gets mad)
  • He wants to scoot around so bad- he won't stay still if I put him on his tummy
  • He's still pretty laid back, but he can get really loud when he's mad
  • I left him in the nursery during church yesterday for the first time
  • He love-love-loves the swing (like his sisters did)
  • He chews on his hands constantly
  • If you put a toy in his hand it goes immediately in his mouth
  • In the past two days we've been told multiple times that he looks like me (Becky)- I don't see it.

Ty is very loved.
