Monday, Monday

Every morning at breakfast Halle asks, "What is today?" When the answer (like today) is, "Monday" her immediate response is, "Oh. MondayCleaningDay!" And while I don't find anything at all exciting about MondayCleaningDay, apparently she does.

A few months ago I came up with a weekly schedule that lets me keep the house clean enough. Between it and our weekly 'meal plan' I feel uber-organized (although, believe me, I'm not!) Here are my beautiful organizational tools:
Most days the girls get to watch a video of their choice. Lately they've consistently chosen Max & Ruby. Typically they watch after naps during their snack time, but on MondayCleaningDay a morning show is in order (Reason:UninterruptedBathroomCleaning.)

*Sigh*.
It's been quite a Monday. We've had two crying bouts (broken toys), two time-out sessions for both (fairly unusual in the same day), and several times I've had to 'have a talk' with Halle about being bossy.
I've also been on the phone on and off with the insurance company (ick.)
And today I got the results of my latest ultrasound and had to make a decision about scheduling a c-section or waiting a few more days and getting one last u/s just to make sure nothing has changed. Although we're trying not to get our hopes up, we've decided to check one last time- you just never know...
I have a condition that will mean a certain c-section unless the placenta moves between now and Thursday. If nothing changes, Baby Boy will likely be here some time next week (gulp.) And although we did get the car seat down from the attic and a few things are washed and ready, we still don't have a name picked out.
So pray. Please. First for a miracle. And then for peace about whatever happens.
And a name.
