Halle has spent quite a bit of time in the water this summer- at home and at the aquatic center.

JD's sister and her two boys spent the past few days at our house. Jake and Caleb went to Ecclesia's basketball camp in the morning with JD.

It took about 12 tries to get Halle to look at the camera and when she did the boys didn't!

Halle 'n Cate

Cate is now 5 weeks old, and (knock on wood) has been a VERY easy baby. She sleeps well, eats well, and rarely cries! Halle has been so much better than I hoped too- no signs of jealously! I don't know if Halle was just a harder baby to deal with, or if I just remember things as a little more traumatic than they really were, but this time around has been a breeze! :)

Birt-day Party

We celebrated Halle's second birthday early this year, when my family was in town. We did birthday cake and presents and all that good stuff. For several days after, she would beg for "polka dots" (the M&M's that decorated her cake) or for "Birt-day Party" (meaning birthday cake). She loved it.

A week later on her actual birthday, we were supposed to meet some friends at the park to play and have cupcakes, but we got rained out, so we played at home instead!
